My family was auctioning off most of the estate from my Grandma's house. Just a few shots while I had spare time.

Daniel Hagan (KickIdle) > There's a grape trellis off to the side of the house. I have memories of eating these grapes right off the vine as a little kid. I don't know if it's just the semi-wild nature of these grapes, or if it's the species - but they has a texture and presentation very different from grapes from a store. The skins were thick and firm, and the insides were almost always spherical. The insides popped cleanly out of the skins when you squeezed them just right. You could slide the fruit out of the skin and straight into your mouth, then squish the seeds out of the center and suck the sweetest parts of the juice out of the side of the skins.

Daniel Hagan (KickIdle) > I can't even count how many jars of homemade pickles I ate in my youth. I still haven't had a pickle better than the mini-kosher-dills from 1988. (No, I'm not kidding. I knew the vintages!)
Daniel Hagan (KickIdle) > Even as a grown up, the root cellar is kinda spooky. I not really a city kid, but not many people have root cellars these days, and it's definitely a different kind of experience to be in one.
